BRITISH GEOLOGICAL SURVEY: NATIONAL GEOMAGNETIC SERVICE
            GEOMAGNETIC STORM WARNING
            _________________________________________________________

Following a coronal mass ejection (CME) on the 7th June we expect
elevated geomagnetic activity levels from later today or early
tomorrow. The CME was not fully Earth-directed so we expect only
a glancing blow from this CME. However there is a good chance of
ACTIVE to MINOR-STORM conditions which increases the chance of
seeing the aurora at higher latitudes during local night time
            hours.

The current lighter night skies in the northern hemisphere will
reduce the window of opportunity for aurora borealis viewers,
however chances are increased for viewers of the aurora australis
            in the southern hemisphere.
